The Estrasorb lotion packets weren't working too well for me in terms of my
sensitive skin so we're going to try something new: EstroGel. I hate the
fact my skin is unhappy with so many things---it has always been this way.
I think the problem with Estrasorb was that it was a lotion that was
applied to the thighs. At first I thought this was OK, but it takes a
while to dry. Now imagine a typical night: you come home tired but have
to apply your meds. So you strip your jeans off, apply this goo, then
go wash up for bed. Then you slip into bed, bottoms still off because
it's still drying---takes a good 20 minutes or so. You go to bed with it
semi-dry and it stays semi-dry all night, absorbing not only into you but
also into your sheets. Then you wake up the next morning still bottomless.
That really hasn't been working too well for me, as you can see. My skin
kept getting irritated and that just made the inside of my thighs all
red raw all the time. I thought about applying the lotion in the morning
before work but then I'd still have to walk around my house/apartment
semi-naked while it dried. Or I could just put on clothes and don't worry
about it absorbing through. The hope is that the EstroGel dries faster and
is on my arms.
On a side note, happy 2005 to you! Seems like I blinked and it's 2005
already. I hope you had a happy, safe holiday season.
