These are just ramblings of my mind...

The cast of characters
These are a number of people in this saga:
- Andrew: Met through Jen, works in tech support, and knew me just before I went full-time.
- Angela: Met through Steve, I rarely see her, and she came out as lesbian not too long ago.
- Brenda: Friend living in Europe who I mainly talk to over IM but did spend a vacation with.
- Calpernia: TS whose boyfriend was murdered, acted in the subsequent movie, active in the TG community.
- Calvin: My lil' brother...who actually is much taller and bigger than I. We don't talk much but he's been generally supportive.
- Cathy: On-line friend, ex-football player who makes an attractive svelte woman, "plays hard" she says.
- Charlene: Old schoolmate who loves fast cars and good wine.
- Cheryl: Highschool friend I finally came out to and has been really cool.
- Christian: Met through Jen's circle of friends, doesn't know about my past, seems to have a thing for me.
- Cristy: Met online and later in person when she came out to my area for an orchiectomy. I was there for her SRS in 2003 and she might be there for mine if she can afford the travel.
- Emily: Runs a popular message board for younger trans.
- Ethan: Friend of Sylvia's I met only a couple of times, likes his SLK.
- Frederick: Buddy from college who got married in late 2003, was the first friend I told not including my then-girlfriend Kristina.
- Gwen: Has her own popular web site, writes articles about transgender topics, and was an organizer of the Day of Rememberance events.
- Heather: College friend married to Raj, used to be an officer with me in the same cultural club.
- Holden: Friend I met through doing anime conventions way back when.
- Jacky: College friend who was in the same major.
- Jamie: Raymond's wife, somewhat reserved, prefers to speak Taiwanese.
- Jean: Laura's friend from college that went shopping one time with Laura, Lea, and I. She's never met my boy self but knows of it.
- Jen: Met in a support group in 2001 and is probably one of my closest TS friends, helped me arrange housing with one of her friends just before I went full-time.
- Karl: Hangs around Mary a lot, met him through Steve.
- Kayla: Sister of Kira.
- Kelly: Seth's wife, fun bubbly personality, very accepting of me.
- Kenneth: College friend who loves his Mac and seems to never run out of energy.
- Kim: Mark's wife, fantastic singing voice.
- Kira: Knew her in college but didn't get close until more recently, good friend of Steve and Kyle's.
- Kristen: A TS who moved up into The City who I see from time to time, helped me in the very beginning with putting together girl's clothes.
- Kristina: My last girlfriend in our 5.5 year relationship, slowly coming to terms with me.
- Kyle: Old college buddy who is the master chef, makes a great teacher, boundless energy and smiles.
- Laura: Sister of Lea, first commented "gee, that guy has nice nails" even though all they were was cut neatly short.
- Lea: One of Steve's good friends who loves shopping and helped me out just before I went full-time.
- Marianne: Met at a TG party many summers back, loves to drive rally cars and does home video editing.
- Marissa: College friend who's really headstrong and pals with Kristina.
- Mark: College buddy who is totally into music making and is a pretty good programmer.
- Marla: Sometimes-friend sometimes-girlfriend of Ryan, doesn't know my past.
- Mary: Good friend of Lea and Steve's who chums with Karl.
- Melinda: College friend who's used to the good life.
- Natalie: Colleague who was initially iffy about my transition on the job but came around pretty quickly.
- Pam: Friend I met while I was going to therapy who moved out to the boonies.
- Pam (2): College friend who knows Steve, Kyle, and Kira really well.
- Pei: Old high-school buddy and ex-girlfriend of a 2-year relationship, we still talk to each other, she's a darned good comic book artist.
- Raj: Husband of Heather.
- Raymond: Brother of Kelly.
- Rod: Good college buddy who was very supportive of my transition, especially loves fighting games like SNK and Street Fighter.
- Ryan: A guy I met through Jen's group of friends, does not know of my past, and happens to have the exact same pair of eyeglasses.
- Sam: My non-gay hairdresser introduced to me by Annie, Sarah, and Jen.
- Sarah: Close friend of Jen and Andrew's, works as an engineer and plays most of the same musical instruments as me. We're so different and yet share a lot of parallels.
- Seth: College buddy, loves anime and computers, former roommate for 5 years, has had a hard time with my transition.
- Stacey: Jen's mom.
- Steven: College buddy, also loves anime and computers, former roomate for 5 years, really supportive of my transition, sorta likes me.
- Sylvia: Met through Emily's message board, talked in person a couple times.
- Tamara: Angela's girlfriend.
- Terry: Met through Jen's circle of friends, likes anime, roommate of Andrew.
- Tina: Met through Steve, works for the same company.
- Ursula: My roomie while I went full-time.
- Victor: Husband of Kayla.
- Wayne: College buddy, anime afficionado, rarely see him since he works in a city 30 minutes away.
